 I lay, Curled in the dark With horrible memories at bay. My dogs begin to bark. But, there is no one here... No one to hold me Or gently brush my hair As they comfort me. The memories rush in now, And mascara tears stream down my face. My dogs become silent. One whines and licks my hand. Feels like its been an hour but only a minute.
